Privacy policy

Casa Borkeby is a private rental run by the Borkeby family. Here we describe what data we keep when you contact us and what we do with it.

What we keep

When you send an enquiry we keep what you fill in: name, email address, phone number if given, preferred dates, number of guests and your message. If you arrived through a link with a source code (for example from a business card) we keep that code, but nothing that identifies you.

Why

The data is only used to answer your enquiry and, if it leads to a booking, to carry it out. The legal basis is steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

How long

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted no later than twelve months after they were received. Data about completed bookings is kept as long as the law requires, for example for tax returns in Spain.

Where the data is

The website and database run on Cloudflare's platform. Your enquiry is also sent to us by email. We never sell or share your data with anyone else.

Cookies and statistics

The website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We count visits with Paidin Analytics (DBO AB, Sweden), which counts visitors per day without cookies and without storing IP addresses in plain text. The form is protected against spam with Cloudflare Turnstile, which sets no tracking cookies. The map is only loaded from Google Maps if you choose to show it.
